Gun dogs, working dogs and family pets
Where it started
Dogs have shaped Dan's whole life. He grew up around working Labradors and spaniels, and went on to train his own Labrador up as a gun dog. That was the start of coaching other people and their dogs.
Learning the trade
He spent years in professional training facilities, getting puppies ready for owners who needed something specific from them. Since then he has trained three American Bulldogs to a top standard of obedience.
Still learning
Dan has never stopped adding to what he knows. At the moment he is studying protection work.
Most of Dan's dogs are pets. They are family dogs, or working breeds living in pet homes, trained with the same methods he uses for working dogs.

Growing up
A childhood spent around working Labradors and spaniels.
First gun dog
Trained his own Labrador up as a gun dog, and started coaching other owners.
Training facilities
Years spent getting puppies ready for owners with specific requirements.
American Bulldogs
Trained three American Bulldogs to a top standard of obedience.
Today
Running Cutthorpe K9 and studying protection work to keep learning.

Clear and consistent
Working dogs are trained so that every command means one thing. Pet dogs learn faster that way too.
Pets and working dogs alike
A lot of Dan's dogs are family pets, or working breeds living in pet homes. Both are equally welcome.
You are part of it
You handle your own dog in the session. The aim is a dog that listens to you when Dan is not there.
Every breed
Labs and spaniels are the speciality, but Dan takes any breed. The small ones tend to be the most stubborn.
The Care Side
Grooming, run by Dan's partner
Cutthorpe K9 is not only training. Dan's partner runs the dog grooming, and Dan offers dog walking alongside his training work.
So the dog you bring for training can be walked and groomed by people it already knows.
