The Training Side
Four kinds of training. All of it one to one.
Dan works mainly with labs and spaniels and comes from a gun dog and working dog background. A lot of the dogs he trains are family pets, or working breeds living in pet homes.
Every breed is welcome. Sessions last about an hour and it is always just you, your dog and Dan.
1-2-1 Obedience Training
Lead walking, recall and manners, taught one to one so the whole hour is about your dog.
Puppy Training
The foundations for a new puppy, one to one and at your puppy's pace.
Behaviour Modification
Specialist support for dogs that bark, lunge, guard or panic, with a clear plan to follow.
Gun Dog Training
For working dogs and for working breeds in pet homes. Labradors and spaniels are Dan's speciality.

Dan, trainer at Cutthorpe K9
Dogs have shaped Dan's whole life. He grew up around working Labradors and spaniels, and that is where it all started.
He trained his own Labrador up as a gun dog, which led him into coaching other owners. He then spent years in professional training facilities, getting puppies ready for owners who needed something specific from them.
Since then he has trained three American Bulldogs to a top standard of obedience, and he is still adding to what he knows by studying protection work.
Working dog methods, used on family pets. The same clear, consistent training that works in the field works just as well in the park and the front room.

Prices are per session. A session is about an hour, with time kept free either side so nobody is rushed.

You can bring your dog to us in Cutthorpe, or Dan can come to you. Home visits are mostly around Chesterfield and he will travel up to about 40 minutes, as far as Alfreton.
